Sales Manager

  We are currently seeking a Sales Manager to help coach, support, and grow our awesome Sales team. This position is incredibly important as we are growing fast and working with some of the biggest names in technology by providing mission-critical infrastructure. The person in this role will work to ensure deals progress, sales people grow professionally, and MacStadium revenues grow predictably. As we’re still a small team, we’re looking for an individual excited about defining new processes and making a big impact.

The right person for this role will be a self-starter with the ability to collaborate with team members and third parties. A strong technical background is a must given the nature of our team, product, and customer base. This role will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and be based out of our Headquarters office at Piedmont Center in Atlanta near the corner of Piedmont and Lenox.

What you will be doing:

Monitor and manage pipeline

  • Ensure pipeline is solid, plentiful, and progressing toward close
  • Provide accurate forecasts that the team can meet or exceed
  • Proactively work to ensure those forecasts beat targets

Coach and manage the sales team

  • Provide 1:1 coaching and feedback to team members
  • Ensure we set and hit activity goals that lead to above-target bookings
  • Provide support as needed to ensure deals progress and close
  • Put processes in place to maintain good CRM hygeine

Interview, hire, and train new sales team members

  • Assist in sourcing and interviewing solid candidates
  • Ensure successful on boarding of new team members
  • Work to make new team members productive ASAP

Define new processes as our team grows

  • Define weekly and quarterly meeting/forecasting cadences
  • Develop and share reporting on wins, pipe, and activity
  • Suggest and execute on plans to increase our capacity to win

What skills and experience you need to have:

  • 5-10 years of sales management experience
  • Solid background in consultative, technical sales role
  • Proven track record of working with a team to deliver above-quota results
  • Experience with sales motions to developers or engineers
  • Willingness to travel to meet key clients or attend events as needed
  • Project management skills and the ability to meet or beat deadlines
  • Leadership skills to inspire, coach, and support a talented team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Analytical mindset and management style
  • Self-motivated, driven and results oriented
